To all the Dads out there... Happy Father's Day!

It's Father's Day for fathers all over the world. I greeted my beloved Hubby yesterday with one of his favorite breakfast - Biscuits with Sausage and Hotel Scrambled Eggs. (For homemade biscuits check out my recipe in this post: Biscuits to start the day.)

Hubby likes his biscuits fresh, hot from the oven and slathered with butter and jully. I like mine plain with butter. I decided I, too, wanted to have freshly baked biscuits but instead of a sausage patty, I opted for bacon. You can never go wrong with bacon.

Since we had a late breakfast (that could technically qualify it as lunch), we both decided that we would have an early dinner, say 6:00 pm. For supper, I planned to serve grilled filet mignon steaks with baked potatoes for my men, while I have a traditional Filipino pork barbeque with vegetable kebabs on the side.

Here's what our grill looked like. My veggie kabobs flanked the meat and you can see the bacon wrapped filet mignons in the right center. Hubby likes his steak between medium rare and medium well. His ideal baked potato would have a generous helping of butter plus sauteed onions and bell peppers. Billy, on the other hand, likes his steak medium well and his baked potato DROWNING in melted butter.

Well as they say, there's no better way to say "I love you" to a man than through his tummy. And here is the proof.

Happy Father's Day, Bill!

(and to John, Jonas, Bay and all the other fathers out there).
